BEE Online Admission requirements - Please contact the faculty member teaching your course with any questions about prerequisites.
- To be admitted to these courses, you will need to report your successful completion of the prerequisite courses with a grade of 3.0 or higher and a total GPA of 2.5
| Important: The BEE Online program is in the process of seeking approval from the New York State Education Department to grant the bachelor's degree. When approval is received, we will be accepting applications for students to matriculate in the degree program. For Spring 2009 semesters all students are being admitted on a non-matriculating basis. Nonetheless, students will be required to show they have a record of courses largely equivalent to the Admissions Requirements below.
| | Science, Mathematics, and Technical Courses: Before applying to the online Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, students must have completed the following science, mathematics, and technical courses with GPA> 3.0. - College Calculus I
- College Calculus II
- College Calculus III
- Differential Equations
- General Physics I With Lab
- General Physics II With Lab
- Chemistry or Physics III
- Circuits
- Digital Logic
- C or C++ Programming
| Notes: - Physics courses must be calculus based.
- Mathematics and Physics courses are 4 Credit Hours.
- Other technical courses are at least 3 Credit Hours.
| General Education Requirements: Before applying to the online Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, students must have completed at least four of the following eight Generation Education courses, 3 credit hours each. - Two courses in Writing
- Two courses in World Civilizations
- Two courses in Humanities
- One course in Social and Behavioral Sciences
- One course in Arts or Humanities with emphasis on Impact of Science, Culture and Technology
